What commercial services do you offer?
Our ability to perform sophisticated manipulation of patent data allows us to create custom data sets in a variety of formats (Excel, MySQL, etc.), serve as a back-end data source for in-house IP databases, and create computed fields to power state-of-the-art patent analytics solutions.
Note that our ability to query patent data actually goes far beyond what you see on the web site. Due to the extreme CPU requirements of some of the more sophisticated query types, we cannot make them available through our web site, but they are available commercially. Some of the additional searches that are available are phonetic searches (e.g., to help ensure that you do not miss anything due to common misspellings or British spellings), query-by-example (a query which takes a subject document and finds the documents most similar to that subject document), and scans of our entire database based on parameters not feasible through our keyword search (e.g., the creation of timeline or demographic statistics on patent issuance). We are also developing latent semantic indexing technology, which will enable a completely new, more accurate method of searching patents.
In addition to these custom capabilities, for commercial users our sister site,
SumoBrain.com, allows patent searching with bulk PDF downloading, higher quotas on folders and alerts, unlimited numbers of folders, and additional functions appropriate to the professional user.
